When I got around to installing a hacked dash a few months ago. I ended up installing Aurora because I assumed it was the replacement for FSD. Was this a wrong assumption? Are there major differences between FSD AND Aurora?

Aurora is mostly focused on games.
FSD is more for power users.

However, development on FSD has stopped and Aurora is the only actively developed alternative dash.

You can install both of them, have Dashlaunch boot FSD upon a button press from your controller, Aurora will boot if you press the powerbutton and you could assign the MS dash to another button.

Aurora is better IMO. I like it because it goes straight to the cover flow of all games (360, XBLA, Xbox) while FSD you have to individually access each one. Also I had duplicate games on FSD and some of the covers wouldn't download. None of those issues on Aurora.
