Noob here! Hello everyone!

I havent used my switch for many many years. I have sx os and my switch official firmware is 9.0.

I heard that sx os is not supported anymore. So how do I change to atmosphere?

I dont care if my save files and gamefiles get deleted.

Thanks in advance!

Her’s a great place to start: https://rentry.org/mys8q

How do i know if im emunand user or sysnand user?
System Settings -> System

If you are running CFW you will see either an (S)ysnand or (E)munand letter after the FW version.

If you see neither you have accidentally booted into OFW.

Here’s mine (I’m on Emunand)

Shit man. My bad, I knew that.

I mean in the guide emunand users need to do this and sysnand users need to do that.
when you boot SXOS hold (Vol +) when you boot to get to the boot menu. See if you have emunand enabled.

here’s mine:

Emunand is preferred. If you have been on Sysnand with SXOS we will need to talk about restoring a backup…cross that bridge if it comes to it though…

It doesnt show. It only shows "SX os v.2.9.4.

What should I do?

It’s OK. You are likely using Sysnand. If you’ve been “playing backups” (.xci|.nsp) your Sysnand will be considered ditry. A dirty Sysnand can never go online or your Switch will be banned from using Ninty services (if you even care about such things.)

If you do care, we will need to find a clean backup of your Sysnand to recover. If you don’t have one…the decision is made for us and we simply move forward (there are pseudo-risky ways around this but that’s a topic for a later time.)

so, down to the brass tacks: do you have a clean Sysnand backup? (if not, just proceed with the Sysnand option for now.)

I dont care about playing online so no harm done :)
Once we get you cut over to Atmosphere we can consider moving to emunand. This way if anything bad happens to the *nand you are actively using…you can always take a copy of your Sysnand. If you’re on your Sysnand and something bricks…you have to pray to the backup gods. It’s an insurance policy if you will. (just good practice in the long run.)

anyway…one variable at a time.

And by the way I have never used my switch to play online. And i have never used nintendo shop.
