Hacking Friend's DS doesn't boot M3

So I recommended an M3 Real to my friend from Dealextreme, the same package I bought. It worked perfectly, so he got one too. Problem is, his DS won't boot it up, but it works okay on mine(With the MicroSD he has). We both own DS Lites, but mine is fairly new, around 6 months, and I don't know how old his is, but it looks pretty worn.

Probably the connector pins in the cart are probably not lining up with the ones in his DS.
i.e. its his DS that is the problem, there are many ways of solving this such as putting a small piece of paper in the cart or taking and putting the DS back together (I wouldn't do that), try searching around the M3 Boards or all the flashcart boards and you will find your answer.
