The servers as well? The app isn't useable at all?
The ticket website has nothing to do with FreeShop, and is still up.

CIAngel is also still up and perfectly usable, plus even if Nintendo DMCA's it, we have no custom "cache", so the current version of CIAngel will always work, even if the code gets pulled.
May not be pretty, but it's been 7 months since we've released an update, and it's still trucking along and working perfectly fine even with the newest releases.

The app still works afaik, you just can't download it anymore and the source has been set to private.
This repository is currently disabled due to a DMCA takedown notice. We have disabled public access to the repository.

Isn't there a difference between downloading a game and downloading a game FOR PROFIT?

Well at least Nintendo is finally going to take a good long look in the mirror and fix their pathetic online infrastructure and account system which lead to the eShop being so easily exploited right guys?:P
Maybe on the NX. Maybe

who's idea was it to go by tickets instead of going by purchase history?
Nintendo's, likely since nobody popular made a ticket exchange for Wii or even got anything to install on DSi

So what does all this mean? Will freeshop still work but just not be updated anymore?
If TheCruel keeps updating the cache, it'll work and support downloading newer games. If he stops updating the cache (It's a pretty big hit to have your project DMCA'd), then it will work, but not for newer titles. There probably won't be any further updates to FreeShop itself though

> take down freeshop
> update e-shop server
> freeshop won't be able to have an official update

nice move from Nintendo if it would be that

Depends on your country, in surprisingly many developed ones, passively downloading (without uploading) for personal use is not a penal crime, but it still is a civil infringement

we all knew it would come.
Sometimes im surprise that gbatemp is still running.

True that freeshop doesnt work without other files, but the way nintendo see it is its still is able to get there games which is all they see.

It will probably get moved to a different sever and change a bit, but i bet it will be back up and running.

even if the cruel distances himself from it (wouldn't blame him), I'm sure the source is out there in people hands, they can just change a few url's and reupload it somewhere a bit less dmca friendly

So games already cache should still be able to be downloaded? If that's true then its still pretty OK. The 3DS doesn't have too many new games coming out other then Yoshi, pikmin and Dragon quest off the top of my head.
