Hey guys, I've used FreeShop before, was wondering if there is a new/alternative one that actually works or is it just installing CIAs from a sd card using FBI?

If you have a direct link to a cia, you can always type/scan it in FBI2... that hasn't changed

For downloading directly from Nintendo, you need a signed ticket: a system to exchange them is doable (just like it was done for titlekeys) but, if they really cared, it would be easy to ban the individual tickets being exchanged

Besides, hopefully "forcing" people to use a computer will result in more people keeping BACKUPS, as a common euphemism for piracy goes (too bad that it can't force them to be clean and unmodified backups, unlike most stuff circulating on the "3DS optical disc images" site...)

Nintendo patched how their CDN works so freeShop-like solutions will no longer work on 2/3DS systems.

The only other option at this point is installing them with FBI.

I tried using boop as i have a 2gig sd card and that didnt work, so i wanted to see if freeshop could still be used

I'd get a 64gb sd card and format it to fat32. If freeshop was working still you'd stilll need more space for games
I say 64gb because it's a pretty good size, but gives you a lot to work with

We need someone that can take their time to make a cia site like *snip* and have qr code option with manual download option I was think of doing it but it would take too long to upload all games to github or whatever take me 30 minutes for a single game

Would be nice if more experienced person would make it

You do realize a more experienced person would not be so damn stupid to do that right? You will quickly get sued by nintendo for a ton of money depending on how many they link to a site. And dont go mentioning other warez sites either. thats against tos here.

Uh, you're talking about uploading warez to GitHub to use it as a distribution medium. I don't think you have any idea of what you're talking about.

Last edited by Joom,
take a read on what I actually said. I did not mention anything of what you're going on about.

If you're asking questions like the ones in this thread its a safe bet you have no idea how to make a site anonymous. It's not as easy as you think.

@Joom: I missed the upload them to github bit, made me chuckle.

There's literally no point to putting any amount of effort into a ROM site. They are always changing hosts, being taken down, and just a mess to handle, plus very few are there for the community anyways.

As for the thread itself, CIA is the only method you have left. Like others have said, Nintendo locked us out and unless another method is found, we are out for good. Personally, I suggest getting yourself a decent 128GB microSD and being more conservative with just how many games/applications you put in it.
