Gog Galaxy combines launchers, too. I use that.
yeah, but playnite also can add in your emulated games and launch them through the emulator as if it's another launcher. Plus playnite is open source, gog galaxy isn't

You should import them through the launcher feature. If you have games you''ve found via other means you need to import the folder then it will give you a list of items to import from there disable all but the games .exe

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

hit the icon in the upper left, then add game, then scan automatically

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

if those games are using a launcher you import it through the update launcher games option

I saw that it allows for integration of other launchers, too. You need to mess a bit with the config. Some extra launcher Integrations can be found on github.
I did not try it out yet, but I was able to add my SORR installation to gog galaxy with no particular programming skills. So it could possibly be done for emulators, too.

I don't know what SORR is, but playnite will autoscrape meta data unlike gog (cover photos, descriptions,etc....). And even if you can add emulators into gog, playnite natively supports it. It also has theme support, automatically closes launchers not in use, I can keep going lol

I am sure playnite rocks. For my purpose gog does it. SORR is Streets of Rage reloaded, a Fan game. And yet gog scraped metadata, cover, screenshots, trailers, lets you edit launch parameters... It may not be a dedicated fan project, but you can tell that unlike other commercial launchers a lot of love went into it. In the end it is what let's each one enjoy their game collection best that counts. I may take a look at launchbox, too. Looks cool on paper at least, so why not try it.

Please stop I keep looking at this thread for games and you guys just keep talking about launchers, if you’re talking about getting launchers to get free games fine but don’t debate about which launcher is best, take that somewhere else this is for free games not debates about launchers

This is not a game. Rather, it's a game maker program. If you use this, maybe one day, we'll be posting links to download your game for free ;).

Game Guru is free on Steam until Sep 7th:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/266310/GameGuru/

GameGuru is a non-technical and fun game maker. It allows you to build your own game world, using creative and enjoyable tools. Populate your game by placing down characters, weapons and other game items, then press one button to build your game, ready to play and share.

I'll take it. Can't fight the hoarder in me.

Removed the last suggestion, no adult content here as per the rules.
But look at your name and avatar.

EDIT: Also, keep the discussion to free games only, stop bumping the thread with unrelated discussion.
I agree.

To Ash is the latest freebie from Indiegala
https://freebies.indiegala.com/to-ash/

To Ash
Do You Accept Death? Or Do You Fear It?
An old-school RPG made to question your acceptance of mortality.
A unique RPG where instead of becoming stronger, you get weaker as you go along. Demitri is a hero who already completed his journey. He is already powerful, so combat is complex and strategic from the start! But no one can live forever, and everyone’s story must come to an end.
The theme revolves around death and acceptance. Written by a therapist, the story is made help you think about what you cannot control. Age, death, loss... these are all things we must accept in our lives.
For those just looking to experience the story, there are 2 distinct modes.

In case you're not too tired of games from Big Fish Games and looking for more, here is your chance to pick up 2 more paid games of your choice for free off their site.

From my source:
"Use these two codes to get ANY GAME FOR FREE on Big Fish Games.

FREEGAME962061

FREEGAME228894

Remember to untick Big Fish Game Club Free Trial so that they won't ask for your payment information.
I highly suggest getting the games with COLLECTORS EDITION. As these are price higher.
Recommendations: When I was a kid, I played a lot of Mystery Case Files and Vacation Adventure.
Edit: I do not know how long these codes will last. So take advantage of it while it is working."

Just FYI, if you didn't catch it the first time around when I posted it here, be sure to check out their "PlayApartTogether" promotion on the site before it's over. ENJOY!!!
