Yeah, I looked today as well and it's in my library and I can install it. The tech support even answered me back telling me it's working so I guess they're not too bad. Maybe because they have a bit of competition now.

Old game and let's be honest, who doesn't have San Andreas out of all the people who will actually play it? Any older GTA fan has it and won't stop bitching about how amazing it was compared to Liberty City or Vice City Stories and any of the newer guys that only play GTA5 aren't gonna even touch it because it has "bad graphics"

I agree that a free game is a free game even if it is old. Just think of ubisoft who were giving out Prince of Persia and Beyond Good and Evil, I didn't complain about that back then. Still, I believe he has a good point that considering that GTA San Andreas is THE game they're giving for free to get people on to their platform, it is pretty underwhelming. As @ThoD pointed out: the people who would've gone crazy for that game probably already have it and the rest of the people don't care. Tbh, I was more excited for Dirt Rally than for this, and I never play racing games. 'cept for Mario Kart but that's different

Rockstar needs to up their game. Of course they only really need to publish the next GTA on it and everyone will be on board, mostly.

Never said I was against it, just was indirectly commenting on how they give us an ancient game to celebrate their new DRM when they could easily have given us at least GTA4 or something recent... Freebie's a freebie though, so of course it goes in this thread!

Finally some good shit, played the Arkham Trilogy a TON back in the day and love Lego versions of stuff (except for Jurassic Park), so this may finally give me a reason to reinstall Epic's DRM...

Same here, though if they give out some good games with multiplayer, then perhaps I'll reconsider, not gonna bother for single player games, since I can just let someone borrow my account or whatnot or have them pirate it. Hoping they give out some decent games with fun multiplayer soon...

Anyhow... What I've seen in the main forum but not here yet : Rockstar games temporarily gives away gta: san Andreas if you download and install yet another launcher. I know... It's more hassle and one more account to add to lastpass, but that free game is very decent nonetheless.

Yes,indeed. You had a dvd version, a CD version and a floppy disk version that shipped with about 5000 disks. Luckily, you only had to install it once.

(it had no floppy disk version. But indeed : auto saves weren't invented yet. So you better stayed alive if you didn't want to redo everything)
