Want me to post about just free games or about giveaway contests too?

Good thread. What's probably the best free game right now?
That's a though one, depends on what kind of games you like? I don't play free-to-play online games so I can't really give a suggestion but I regularly check for some limited time offers for paid-games-gone-free on sites like Epic Games, GOG, Steam, IndieGala, itch.io etc. i.e. the popular ones.

If you're new to hoarding free games and you'd like to get some usually paid games, /r/FreeGameFindings is a very good source for that (thanks to @KirbyBot for mentioning it). Some of us post here in this thread whatever freebies we can find so that the other users can claim them as well.

EDIT #1 (NEW!):
Potatoman Seeks the Troof is free on IndieGala.

How do one "claim" an Android game btw?
You don't, you just "download", and yes, that also means they can remove it from the store whenever they want..
Post automatically merged:

Hero of the Kingdom: The Lost Tales 2 and Megapolis 2010 are currently free on Microsoft Store. Android [#1][#2] and iOS [#1][#2] versions are available as well.
Only one day left so claim them (if you're able to) as soon as you can.
I lost track of how many of these Hero of the Kingdom games they've given us so far, not that i was counting or i care for any of them ofc :D

If it's removed from the Play Store storefront, you should still be able to redownload it by going to "Library and devices" on the website, or "Manage apps & device" in the Play Store app.

To be able to claim an app on the website, you'll need to have an Android device connected to your Google account. I have an Android phone, so that's not an issue, but if you don't have that, you could probably download and install the Bluestacks Android emulator on your PC:

Edit: Also, I don't know if we want to regularly add free Android/iOS apps to this thread, or maybe only if they're notable games or from notable sources (i.e. Epic) , or in conjunction with a free PC release.

However, there's some resources for finding apps that are temporarily free.

Here's one for Android apps:

And for iOS apps:

Also, this lists a mix of free and sale priced iOS apps:

Sure but not always the case, if the dev shut it down for good, you'll no longer be able to re-DL the game even if you paid for it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Do you have an example of that happening? Because, as far as I know, you're stating an unfounded hypothetical.
