This is just a guess however based on what I've seen/heard. Discord hasn't given a reason and I don't think they will
I wonder how much longer Discord can be a safe haven. I have been warning people before that Discord isn't a safe place at all. If a lawsuit comes against Discord for example because of HBG. You can bet Discord will fork over all the info they got.

Well the thing is, discord only has links. The only files they are hosting are pictures. Everything else is 3rd party

Who's subscribed there with their real life name anyway?
The worst they could hand over would be a log file telling them that someone clicked on a piracy link. From their on, Discord can't track you any further and it is not said what you did on that link's website (download a piracy file or not) so there's not much to worry about. ;)

Users have nothing to be afraid of. It's more the providers :P
