WC24 was confirmed to be the problem when this player was released.

So why didn't tell it earlier? Was it a secret? Things getting funny...

As things evolved I watched here, tehskeen (the forum that the guy ported this originally releases his things to) and other forums closely and nowhere that information existed and now you are telling it was known from the start.

Filename length with MFE has never been a problem for me, although I did experience my first freeze last week and that was...drumroll please...after enabling WC24.

Yet another reason to just disable it.

well forgive my english but what the phrase "drumroll please" means?

dont know what people problems are too i have never had any trouble with it then again i only hae the stock channels and to game channels that i payed for

I'm going to confirm that WC24 was also the stress of my playback problems. All those times people said it was long filenames, or that I was using micro sd, and all I had to do was disable WiiConnect24. I knew my problem couldn't have been with filenames considering with TP Hack it worked just fine, and with HBC it would freeze. Then some people would have no problem with it at all. It's because they had WC24 disabled. I wonder if this was such common knowledge why nobody mentioned this as a possible cause sooner.

Well because it was not a common knowledge

I myself played with it about over an hour, uninstalling, installing channels, changing the channel locations... Tried to figure out what had I changed till it was working.. And it was wiiconnect24, I recalled that... I had disabled wc24 after the 3.3 update came out to be safe. Enabled it and mfe was crashing as before. That's how I found the bug.

It's a shame if it was a known fact, cause the questions for the problem floating all over the wii forums and nobody did come with an answer. Even the guy who did the port... (nuvalo@tehskeen)

And thanks for confirming
