So as the title says, a friend of mine found an iPod at a movie theater he works at and since nobody claimed it in the lost and found, he got to keep it (lucky motherf-). Anyway, he tried to unlock it by pressing random crap on the iPod which eventually lead to the iPod permanently locking itself (at least that's what it looks like) not too sure to be honest.

All I can say is that all we can see is the background and we can't do absolutely anything to it but turn it off and on.

I read online that you have to re-sycn it to the last computer it sync'd to in order to unlock it but since that's pretty much impossible, how do we go about "restoring" it or making it as if it's brand new and allow it to sync to a new computer?

Many thanks in advance. :)

I managed to wipe it and it should now function as if it's just out of the factory or so through DFU mode (the one listed in the iOS jailbreaking thread.

Let's hope all goes well now :)
