Hacking Force Netflix to always start in a specific bitrate

Decompressing the 00000001.app, opening it in a hex editor and searching for the text 'video_bitrate' takes you to the following XML-like code:

<video_bitrate_ranges>playready-h264bpl30-dash:751-1350,playready-h264mpl30-dash:235-750</video_bitrate_ranges>

How it works is it goes from [email protected] 235kbps to 750kbps, then it switches to [email protected] 751kbps to 1350kbps, this seems to be consistent with the Example Short test video.

If you edit it like this:

You would get the highest quality all the time without having to fallback to the others when you seek the video or whatever.

Additionally you can enable main 640x480 and even 720x480, some titles may work with the former but the latter will choke on just about everything.
