It'd be pretty good. Street Pass (Is that it?) could transfer your world to someone else and they can see what you've built. Of course, they wouldn't be able to move any blocks though.

If you think Minecraft 3DS would be good because of the 3D, Minecraft already has a 3D mode.

Not that I wouldn't like it on a portable. But I don't find it fitting for small screens

i think we could encourage him to make it
he has made enough money to get a dev kit im sure
and features would make it nice for it
it would work like the pc only 3d and makes use of the screen for inventory
and it would connect to curent servers

I don't see any need for Minecraft to go outside of the PC.

You don't sit down with Minecraft and play for a few minutes. You think you'll play for a few minutes and then 5 hours later you have to pee like a race horse so you stop. Then you sit down again and play for the next three weeks.

I just don't see why people think any title would be good on the 3DS. I don't mean that the 3DS shouldn't have any games, I just don't think it's a suitable platform for any type of game, especially Minecraft.

Minecraft has a 3D mode but that doesn't mean it should be on the 3DS.

I honestly don't see this happening until:
-The source code of minecraft is released.
-The 3DS is hacked.

Both of which could take years, so I'm not holding my breath. But hell, it would be great...

its for those who are on the go and dont have a netbook or laptop
or when they dont want to bring their machines
im sure that the 3ds battery will last longer then my laptops
also, 3ds is mor conveniant for travel it think
waiting in an airport, get connected to wifi, and logon + play minecraft, and when done, close
or pull out big laptop, turn it on and wait 2 min, connect adding another minute, open minecraft and login
and when ur done, wait 3 min for it to shut down

i think 3ds would be better for travel and minecraft is an addicting game that makes time fly
esspecially when u throw you watch off a tower

Wow, you're not bias at all.
I can't wait to see the new PSP fail again.

I don't see why not - it's a fun time waster. It doesn't need to support 3D either - just a portable version of the game would be great to have, and SpotPass/StreetPass features would be pretty cool. I think the 3DS would be a great system to bring it to. I'd love to be able to play this one the go - I play it on my laptop, but I'd much rather play it on something that I can carry around and pull out for a 15-20 minute game in between classes.

I have a feeling what I'm saying is coming out wrong.

I'm trying to say that not every type of game will be good on the 3DS. Minecraft wouldn't be. I just don't think it'd be good on a mobile platform.

And cut the attitude kid.

No, no. What you said is okay, it's your opinion- let's just keep this a minecraft thread please :yay3DS: :yayNGP:.

I haven't played minecraft but from what I'm heard it would take real power to do that.
3DS doesn't have that much power IMO.

Im pretty sure this could work. I mean the iTouch had a minecraft explorer im sure the 3DS could support it. Now about the 3D im not too sure I mean we are hearing things saying the 3D lowers the FR (Frame Rate) and on my PC it already lags like crazy and the explorer on iTouch crashes way to often so im half and half with this one.

My computer can run any game on the market at the highest settings. Minecraft however crashes it when I'm clearing out an area with Dynamite, and I'm just running the default texture pack.
In short, No the system cannot run it. An xbox 360 couldn't even run the game like it is now.

Yea....id have to agree.....Its simply not powerful enough to run minecraft in its current form.....because for whatever reason....minecraft is one of the most intensive games out there........

Maybe if minecraft was optimized down the line then it could be possible

EDIT: whats with the bumpage?
