Is flipnote available on the 3ds? (Do we know of it will be after May 7th?)
Can it be transferred from a dsi?

might even be an updated 3d version available at some point
I doubt it. That would be really confusing for most people.
True....but think of the awesome possibilitys for people who can understand it......besides most people have never had a chance to animate something in 3d ..and it would be awesome of Nintendo to give them a chance to do that

Also this is my 500th post

Once the 3DS Shop is open, Flipnote Studio will be available.

Edit: Thanks RupeeClock.

It's a free title anyway.

Anyhoo, I don't think Flipnote Studio will be a desirable package for the 3DS since the touch screen will blur the individual pixels, very bad for this sort of art form.

What the 3DS needs is a new Flipnote Studio package with these sorts of changes:
  • 320x240 canvas
  • More layers
  • More colours
  • Specific Framerate control (no "speed" setting)
  • Support for much larger projects
  • Audio import from files on the SD card
  • Capture footage from camera into pixels (threshold effect)
  • Support for more than 3 sound effects
  • Support for longer music tracks
  • Clipboard with multiple slots/Stamp system

I'm sure there's more but I can't think at the moment.

As someone who never bothered with a dsi, many of its features (camera, flipnote etc;) that appear on the 3ds will take up some of my time.

A FlipNote studio on the 3DS seems like a very good project but I don't think it will have 3D mode.
I hope to be wrong.
