Yes, you'll need to press it.
Also, your DVD firmware is the wrong type of firmware.
You'll need the 02510c firmware (seeing you got a Liteon from a Phat console)

Correct firmware for you would be "LTPlus-0251-v3.0.bin"

Yep, that's correct.
Don't forget to spoof your DVD keys to the target firmware.
Press "Liteon Erase" in the MTK flash 32 tab.
Press the "Write" button and finally click on "Outro / ATA reset"

Then it should be good to go.

Thanks for all your help.
I am still confused about the fact that my pc mobo was compatible with this. I just used an empty sata port… On main board instead of putting from other drive. So I guess problem was with os(its fixable) and the jungle flasher version (I used 0.1.84 this time) which failed to write bank…..0 and hanged. Also if buying sata chip first thing to make sure its support 64 bit os if you using it. They don’t inform about that and ending up with wrong driver.

Now I need to take off that toggle switch and put back the pieces together.

Yeh I dun fiddle with onboard SATA nor VIA cards ;p
Switched to the X360 Pro when it came out out of simplicity of the device.

But as long as your drive works then why complain ;p

Hi just wanna go back to jtag. Had the same problem 16547 Here in south africa is a guy that Jtag any model any dash. google defcon5.co.za . My xbox was the new dash and he RJTAG it. He stil have 1000's of chips. I've got all my games on a 500gb hardrive.

That's good, but the original JTAG hack was patched in 7371.
RGH was patched in 14699
R-JTAG is the only one available for phats.

Note that with hardware hacking your console, you cannot ever connect to Live.

You'll still need to make sure you don't boot any homebrew.
Not only that but if you use your Live profile with the hacked NAND, you also should make sure you don't let your box reach out for Live as well.
Then again, your hacked state will always be offline.

Bottom line is, you cannot go on Live with a hacked NAND.

Yes that's the bad thing. So.... I must buy a another xbox360 for life, but only the dvdrom firmware flashed and hacked for copy games

If you only care about games and XBLive, then the best thing is to get an Xkey or to flash the DVD drive.
The major disadvantage of hardware hacked consoles is that they cannot go on Live ever.
Even if you manage to Dual NAND it, you'll need some knowledge on keeping your profile safe.

If you care about games and online multiplayer, go with an Xkey.
If you do not care about Live and Multiplayer, go with a hardware hack.

They'll probably shut Live for 360 down pretty soon now anyway, to try and push Xbone sales.

Not a fact, not even a rumor, just my own speculation.

Live for the original Xbox lasted until April 2010.
Nearly 5 years after the 360 came out.

I think that Live for the 360 will last atleast 5 years, if not more.
