Yeah...please do. I'm interested in this new software they are talking about, and whether or not it works with PogoShell, since they relied almost SOLELY on that program to push their earlier carts.

Hey awesome. I feel like sending this guy money. I won't, but still feel like it. Hehe. No I am sure it will be fine and that most of the problems other cards have had will be worked out by now. This late in the game they really know what users expect, hopefully they catered to that instead of just adding gimmicky features like the buttons on the front.

man, i want one..id put tons of nes roms on it, and switch up on the gba roms as they come out. itd be perfect.

i dont think its all that expensive for how big it actually is. and im sure f2a did a wonderful job on it.

There's something I'm not really sure you guys have considered, something I thought not too long ago... How much is an EZFA 256? 100... and a F2AU 1024 ? 250 ... If you would pay the same price ratio per meg as you do on a EZFA, it would be only a 625 megs... However, as it is now, you pay 2.5x for 4x the space! Doesn't sound too shabby when you see it this way...

Then consider the other things, such as the lower battery consumption...

Actually, it's not too shabby at all. I just (1) Don't have $250 laying around and (2) want to hear about other peoples' experiences with it first. I don't trust F2A at all. I'll have to know that it can do what other modern carts can do (WITHOUT POGOSHELL) before I think about buying one.

1 gig would be rad imo, but I like my 256 just fine. I think software support will make or break this, not the price. If it's good, people will pony up the cash.

Yeah I don't really think price is the issue at all. Though that price comparison doesn't really work. The added expense in going from 256 to 1gb is only in the addition of 3x256mbit chips. The cartridge, packaging, and everything else stays the same. Sure there is R&D and stuff that would need to be implemented. But the price of a 256 chip is probably very minimal to the total one pays for a 256 mbit card. Especially now that it has been so long that they have been out.

Anyways, I don't think price is the main issue. It is software. Everyone has come to realize now that software is what makes or breaks these devices. We used to think it was hardware (and to some degree it was, bugs, crashes, etc...) but now that those problems have all been worked out for the most part it is software and support that really makes the card worth the money.

Also one more point about the price, it really isn't a price per size comparison that shows the trouble with the $250 price point. Obviously in that area the user wins big time. But the problem I have with it is a price per actual value comparison.
i.e. Is 1gbit really worth the extra expense?
Will it make my life that much easier using my gba?
Can I really use all that space?
If I can use it all, is it important that I do so?
Would I rather buy a gba, gamecube, and a game for that price?

Questions like that are more relevant in this case I believe and will be different for every person.
