Hacking Flash Liteon 0401

Okay so I've been looking into this for a little while. I want to flash a slim drive and this firmware on my liteon drive looks like it cannot be done unless you drill the drive so I have ordered a drill and template.

I have found that I will also need the xbox360 usb thing from xecutor and a power adapter for the drive. Something about the drive not cooperating when connected to regular sata on a computer. Where can I get this equipment? I am having trouble finding it.


If I am misunderstanding anything in the process please correct me.

Also I'm seeing some of the X360 USB Pro on ebay for $80 but that seems a bit much. I could buy 2 phat systems used for that.

At this point I'd honestly say RGH it.

However, you can get away with a Via SATA PCI card and using the Xbox as power.
Otherwise a X360 USB v1 also does the job.
