I can't imagine it's very difficult to figure out. This stuff hasn't really gotten at all difficult since the original R4 came out over a decade ago ffs.
Do you often answer questions in the form, "How do I do X?" with, "Just do X!"
I'll be interested to see the sorts of answers you provide on future questions

I found some images to better explain my situation. So basically when I highlight a game file, I have to press start to access settings. On the system settings menu I turned safe mode on and saved current settings. Then when I reboot flash card later, I can no longer access settings when pressing start over a highlighted file.

So Start doesn't open the menu anymore?
I think your best bet then would be to delete the settings file on the MicroSD. It's probably in a folder named something like "wood" or "ace3ds". I don't have an Ace3DS cart, but I do have a blue Gateway cart that's a clone of the Ace3DS Plus.
Edit: Assuming those screenshots are from an Ace3DS Plus, the file should be in the __rpg folder.

She doesn’t have an SD reader and doesn’t have cfw (so can’t install an FTP program).
She may have to give up :-/

Sounds like she is going to buy one though.
Yep that is the problem. I don't have q card reader so if anyone knows of another way that is what i am looking for.

Would this be an acceptable reader?
Any reader will work, though I prefer the flash drive sized ones as they're easier to carry around with me.
Don't you have/have access to a laptop? Every laptop I've seen has a SD reader built in. If you don't have one, I'm sure you know someone nearby that does.
Even most Android phones would work as most of them have a MicroSD slot.
Also, it would be much faster and not much more expensive to buy a SD reader locally.

This is unrelated, but I hate this and I want to clear it up—it's not 'Flashcard.' It's Flashcart. Flash + cart (cartridge). A Flashcard would just be an SD card. Those are Flashcarts.

Hey,
Just came back to say that I figured it out on my own. It turns out I had a micro sd card slot on my laptop and figured out how to toggle settings from there. Thanks, you can close this thread now.

This thread won't be closed. It's now potentially a place of support for people with similar problems. Generally only threads that get out-of-control and threads that won't supposed to be replied to (like a somewhat controversial PSA, and even then often they have their own discussion thread) get closed.
