Hey all, I have a Flash Advance cart and linker that connects to an LPT printer port (see here). It's important to note that it's not the Pro or Turbo or Extreme versions, this must have been one of the earlier models.

I'm not sure how, but the cart is corrupted and whatever was on there is no more. I suspect I probably messed up writing it one time with my old DSi and fas1, but I no longer have that DSi so I'm looking for alternatives to breathe new life into this cart.

I was googling around and came across gameboy-advance.net which says that the Flash2Advance USB cable is compatible with older FlashAdvance carts. Well, that's what I think it says, some pages say that, others say it's only compatible with FA Turbo and FA Pro carts. The site is kind of a mess and hard to get take away anything from.

Can anyone conclusively tell me whether this cart is compatible with this cable? If not, does anyone have any suggestions for reviving this cart? I've also looked at getting a PCI parallel card that has legacy ports so I can try to hook up this monstrous linker I have. I already have an EZ Flash IV, so no need to recommend that, I am purely focused on getting this cart I'm asking about to work.

Many thanks in advance for any insight or suggestions you guys might have

The Insidegadgets GBxCart RW might have support for that flashcard

That was a much quicker response than I was expecting! Thanks for this recommendation, I didn't even think to consider hobbyist flash writers. After a brief look around, I think it might not be compatible. After more googling, I found that my cart's flash chip is 28F128J3A and that doesn't seem like it's on the supported list, not to mention, they only explicitly support the Flash2Advance carts. But the good news is they'll support my GBC cart that I also can't flash to, but that was lower on my priority list until now...
