Hardware Flame Red 3DS Firmware

Since Nintendo has officially announced the release of the Flame Red color for the 3DS line in North America, I was wondering what firmware version it comes with? Is it still the base version 1.0, or will it have the latest firmware? Just want to get my facts straight because I plan on getting an Acekard 2i or some other 3DS compatible flash cart to go with it.

Might as well ask this question too: Which 3DS compatible flashcart do you guys recommend? I heard the Acekard 2i has contact problems and a possibility of getting a HW44 instead of an HW81.

There's no way of knowing, but it'll probably be an early v2 firmware. You shouldn't have any problems running an AK2i on it.

I believe it comes with v1.0.0-0J, dood.
It says on NoA's site that every 3DS comes preloaded with this at system launch, and Flare Red (even though it is from Japan) has just been launched, so... dood... accept what you think.

The Japanese Flare Red came with 2.1.0-3, so I imagine they're putting the latest firmwares on their consoles as they manufacture them, like Sony does.
