Lets say the game version is at 1.7 and you have 1.6. you will get that annoying popup to update game bla bla bla . Is there any way to make this not appear (other than updating,duhhh) . I have observerd that on OLEDS, i never get this thing even if its not to the latest version. But on V1/V2 /lite i always get them..

Each time you go online, this will appear untill you update your game. You can remove this nag by using homebrew app "Goldleaf" and then stay offline, The feature in Goldleaf is called "Reset launch version". Directions: Open Goldleaf, Select SD card/ or System memory (wherever your game is installed), select game, then select "Reset launch version".Good luck! https://github.com/XorTroll/Goldleaf

    Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    @BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

    You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
