Cheers. I've been given a DS lite recently, in a wonderful condition. The only problem is the previous owner's kid quite literally ripped the top half off.
Now, I know what to do for the most part. I figured out a way to reattach the top screen despite the damaged hinges, I know how to deal with ripped ribbon cable. The only issue? The two black and white cables that go between the two screens have also been ripped in half. I have replaced screens in DS lites before, so I know some basic soldering, but I don't quite trust myself to do it right with wires this small, especially considering it would shorten them as a result, but I will try if i see no other options. Optimally though, I'd like to buy a new set of these, either alone or by buying an unfixable DS lite for spare parts. So I suppose my question is, what sort of cable is that, can these be bought anywhere? And if not, what soldering core should I use to mend them back together?
