First time modding, can’t get into hekate

i followed this guide to the best of my absolute ability switch homebrew guide
buuut, i’ve had this issue since 3pm… its 10pm. i can’t get into hekate at all. i’ll attach some images
first image is main menu screen. second image is when i select launch

what files did you put into SD root?
Did you only rename hekate to payload.bin?
download from HERE and overwrite the same folder if any exist.

from the guide but turns out my switch isn’t even recognizing the sd card on regular mode. this process keeps getting worse and worse and worse

Try another sd card. It's the first step to make sure it isn't that simple.
Also what guide did you use? Please don't be a YT video.

CHECK your SD card by H2testw and also check if SD reader module connect properly.
