I'm just really hoping we don't end up losing all this in a firmware update. Am I right that it can eventually be updated to allow homebrew access in newer firmware if we just wait a bit before updating?

Can you try asking that question again. I think you asking if things will get patched, if thats the case its very likely that a newer version of youtube will be put into the eShop and maybe the next firmware will block the current youtube app from running the exploit.
Yeah that's what I meant. I do hope Smea can update the homebrew when the firmware updates so we can keep or reinstall.
