i've got a question for R4 Original.
Can you replace or hack the card to set another Flashcard's firmware on it?
or else: Can someone make a WORKING YSmenu with R4YSauto. because i do every step over and over but it still gets stuck when loading.

i agree with lacius
if you are having trouble on setting up ysmenu
just use the unofficial firmware

There's a STICKY topic called "Is your R4 stuck on 'loading...'"

Getting stuck on loading either means you might not have an original R4 or you didn't install the firmware properly.

Does the official v1.18 firmware work on your R4?

If not you most likely have a clone card and should check the website on the R4 box to get the right firmware.

BTW did you change the name of the ysmenu zipfile to YSMenu0810211800.zip? Because the filename needs to be exactly that name or else R4YSAuto won't recognize it.

Oh and what did you choose at the setup?

Did you choose YSMenu as replacement firmware or did you integrate it with the original R4 firmware?

I gave him a copy of my YSmenu that is working perfectly well for me.

I could have done that too, but I found it better that he learns how it works, so that he can do it himself in the future, or are you planning on giving him a new one everytime an update for YSMenu comes out?

I want people to learn. If you just give them things, like that, they will become lazy and will think everything will be done for them instead of doing things themselves.

I do not mean to criticize you, because afterall it is a nice thing to do.

Which equals distributing copyrighted material without owners permission. If you're going to do that at least don't shout about it here. Yasu may still read these pages.
