Not sure if I posted this on the wrong section but guess not. Time to update my Wii U if it didn't already do it itself. :)

True, it was useless, but as far as homebrew, it's just gonna make it worse, so people, do NOT update.

We don't know yet but MN1 is reverse engineering OSv11 right now to see what's changed as it, the browser and 11 other titles have been modified.

Updates aren't always a bad thing, it might reveal some exploits they fixed which then could lead to an exploit for a previous version.

It's a euphemism for blocking exploits, just don't update until we know.

One of our kernel bugs has been confirmed patched. Luckily, we have one more, and I was planning to release the exploit soon anyway.

No, I was planning to release the one that got patched. Even more incentive to do it now.

tl;dr safe to update then? Or hang on to 5.4.0 if you still have it?

I can't confirm whether the other kernel exploit still works. It's impossible to do through reverse engineering, and I'll need to test on 5.5.0.

Well, Wii U is unplugged, hopefully 5.5.0 wasn't installed yet. Don't want to be losing out on this when it does release.

I just checked out my Wii U and, does this update is released right now?
Because I haven't did the DNS Block thing, but I have configured my Wii U to not download data while off.
And right now, it is still at 5.4.0
    Is it normal?

Uh, yeah, considering people are turning off their internet connections. If you're on 5.4.0 you don't have the update yet.
