I don't really care about extras added to the XMB unless it's more media support: mpeg, mpeg2, divx, xvid, flv, etc.

And yes, 3.96 is the latest OFW and as yaoluislg said is on the Hot Shots Golf 2 UMD. It hasn't been put on Sony's update server though.

There is a way to do this somewhat. There is an plugin that worked in past versions of CFW that plays your mp3s while in game but It appears to not have been worked on in a long time so the compatibility with new CFW is questionable. Search for "MP3 PRX" if you want to give it a try.

3.30 was a pretty good update. That was the first update that allowed real fullscreen (not just stretched) videos officially. It also had a lot of improvement in POPS.

3.71 was also a pretty good update because of the official support for custom themes which means not having to mess with RCOedit and risk semi-bricking your PSP.

I remember M33 saying there going to make a 4.00 M33 firmware but Im probably not going to update since 4.00 has useless features that really don't contribute anything..I want in-game XMB like PS3

I would only update if they added more video support and in game xmb for music and even then we would have to wait for m33 team to make the custom firmware.
