You don't know what dumping is? Dumping is ripping a DS game for usage on a flashcart.

The reason he asked you to obtain the rom from another source is, some sources may automatically patch roms (meaning: the roms aren't clean) if they aren't working on any flashcarts initially. If the original source doesn't tell you that the ROM is patched (or trimmed), well...I'm sure you see the problem now
