Hacking Fire Emblem DLC + Acekard Dilemma Any Ideas?

So I have my Acekard still running on my 3DS that isn't updated yet. I just bought Fire Emblem Awakening today and really want to get all the new DLC but I don't want to update and lose everything. Is there a way to use another 3DS to install the DLC? or does anyone else have any ideas?

The only way is to buy another flashcard that works in latest firmware and transfer the games and saves to it

Regular DS's are pretty cheap these days though.

yeah i was thinking about just buying a DS Lite or something

Itd be cheaper to pick up a DSTWO, that way you can enjoy Flashcart and updates all on the same system.
