Hey guys,
I'd like to make a NTR cheat plugin for Minish Cap played with RetroArch. I've already made a couple of plugins but back then I only needed to find and edit static addresses and now one of the addresses I want to tinker with is dynamic. How do I go about finding pointers only using a HEX editor or Cheat Engine? In the past, I made some trainers for various PC games where I also had to work with pointers but that was pretty easy because I could use the pointer search feature in Cheat Engine in combination with breakpoints but I don't really have the option here. Can anyone explain what I have to do here?

Make file dumps and search for pointers like you'd do normally?
There are several tools out there to find pointers in a binary file.
Well I only know about the pointer search in Cheat Engine, I don't really know how to do it "normally"

You can load memory files in Cheat Engine and use it to look for pointers.
You need entire memdumps, not just from one memregion. Use my modified NTR debugger to make these dumps easily.
