Hacking finally ordered my adapter

like i said in my introduction, i bought my ds to use as a dictionary. it will come in handy on my trips to japan and on school related orchestra tours when i want to play games as well. my friend that inspired me to buy the ds and mod it has the m3 mini and he bought his in a pack with the passcard from divineo for under a hundred dollars.

i'm not so lucky on that. i started searching this forum many many hours ago and finally found this thread that supposedly has all the stores you can purchase adapters from. after literally checking prices on every site, i decided to buy from GamerSection.ca. even with duty charges, it's cheaper than most places. i paid $103.15 total (shipping incl) for the m3 mini and passcard bundle.

now that i have something to play with, i guess i will contribute more to discussions. i guess. i've already familiarized myself with my friends setup, and i love it already. i can't wait to receive mine now.

on a side note, i just received an email from ebay asking me to submit a claim on the person i bought my 2gig kingston card from if i haven't received it. i guess he's done some illegal activities or something. however, i received it and already left feedback.

shuks!! i thought the person handled my sale in a great manor. i bought my card and got a free card reader, all for $20 shipped.

sad? what part of that was sad? i guess me sitting in front of a computer for several hours just to find a reasonable price was sad...

or maybe the person's story from whom i bought my SD card is sad... ? i think that if i had not been at work, i would have given up after 20-30min and gone on to something else for a while.

i'm happy because i get to use my ds for what i bought it for. plus, i got a steal of a deal (no pun intended) on the price for my memory card.

Just make sure that your 2gig card is actually 2 gigabytes. The only way accuratly do that is to load it with about 2 GBs worth of files. Sometimes people on ebay will modify the card so that the computer thinks that it is two gigabytes big, but it isn't. that may be what the selling got shutdown for. It isn't uncommon.

y'all kind of have me worried about my memory card. it says kingston 2gb, and the computer (after loading 400mb of games) still says i have 1.5gb left. how does someone modify a card like that? i will add as much stuff to the card to make sure it all goes in there.

the way that the ds is used as a japanese dictionary is to add the ds japanese dictionary rom. i believe they have a korean dictionary too.

the dictionary is called "0405 - Kanji Sonomama Rakubiki Jiten (J)(SCZ).nds" from wherever my friend got it from. only problem is that you really need to know japanese to be able to use it. it's not for the novice user. it's made more for japanese to look up english. but you can go the other way around. it is like a real english-japanese dict tho. no furigana. i love it because i can look up the words by the kanji or the reading. it's nice!

i tested my card, it is 2gb. no worries there now. now, just have to wait for my m3 to get here from canada.

i'll ask my friend where he downloaded the dict from for y'all.

so, i just found out that game section just barely sent out my adaptor. i'm a little mad. on their site it says that they ship within 48hrs from the time the order is placed. it's been 3 days. i was going to bitch and moan about it tomorrow if it didn't ship. also, they say that they ship fedex. my shipment was sent out by purolator. i don't mind purolator, we use them at work. i just know that my shipment will take at least 5 business days from now to receive. so, if all goes well, i should have my adaptor next wednesday.

that is if canadian customs doesn't steal it.

lets just hope everything goes well :'(
