NOTE: if you are trying to run Any Title Deleter to delete IOS51, you must first obtain copies of at least IOS30 and IOS36 from a Wii game (such as Wii Music or the new Guitar Hero) using the same method with WiiScrubber. From here you can install WiiGator's Backup Loader 0.3 with the corresponding cIOS released with it (v6).

can someone explain me that. I use iosdowngrader and all my ios are now the oldones with the bug why do i need to copy de ios30 and 36 from one of my original games?

That was how you did it before IOS downgrader was released.

Ok look, ive been reading this thing for the past few hours...so I must be pretty thick here cuz ive had no luck this whole time. Could somebody who has succesfully recovered from the oct 23 update tell me exactly what to do? I already have Homebrew channel installed (Before Update) Everytime I think im onto something and go to install a .wad file I get some error 2011...ive been on a mission for like the past 12 hours or so trying to fix this, somebody help.

so does this mean if i downgrade my 3.3e (23 October update) down to 3.2e (that will work with waninkiko's downgrader yeah? european/pal?) that trucha signed games will once work again for me at least through geko? i kind of accidentally updated now i can't play trucha signed games and i'm not too happy. if someone can confirm this and that downgrading using waninkik's downgrader to 3.2E will not brick me in any way, because it's E, not U.

and btw, does it matter that the wii backup disk 1.3 is ntsc?

1) put wadmanager 1.3 in apps

2) put IOS16-64-v257-prod.wad in the folder .WAD

3) run wadmanager 1.3 and install the ios16.wad

4) take the boot.dol from wadmanagerios16 and replace it in the boot.doll from wadmanager 1.3

5) install iosfix.wad (in djtaz signutere you can dowload it)

All the programs you need are in the first post or in djtaz sign. goog luck

Ok the part that seems to beating me up here is the fact that I cant seem to find IOS16-64-v257-prod.wad, its probably sitting right in front of me and im just oblivious to it.

First, use WiiScrubber to open up the Wii Backup Disc, and extract IOS16-64-v257-prod.wad
This file can be found by clicking the + sign next to "Partition:1 - UPDATE", and then the + sign again next to _sys
Right click on this filename, and click on "Save as" and save it to a WADS directory on your SD card.

i think the ciosfix is the same for all regions but i am not sure.

i need to be 100% sure, i don't want to mess with my brother's wii. can anyone who downgraded from 3.3e to 3.2e confirm for me please, and then trucha signed games will once work again? and last thing, to downgrade i use ios downgrader v1, not the cios-downgrader, correct?

I don't think you need to downgrade anything.

After installing cIOS_fixed.wad, I think your Wii is fully open for most of the homebrews and you have the advantage of the most up-to-date system firmware so the newest game should work.

alright, since a lot of people here are on the subject of the new 3.3v2 update, installed it, or may soon, I want to know what to do about it.

I already know about the hack shop and ios 51 installer, but I also want to get the new weather/news channel and whatever else is included. also, what if the ios updates include more than just es_addcontent fixes?
i realize that bootmii (whenever it gets released) might allow direct installation of the update (since the ios's could be patched as they get installed), but I was wondering what my options right now are.
If I do install the new ios51 hack+shop channel will i still need to update? would i still be able to? is there another version string that still needs to be changed? how can i get the new news / weather channels (i guess i could make wads from the urls given by wiimpersonator, but all of the content items would need to be decrypted first...)

finally why are some people suggesting they got updated automatically from wiiconnect24? this update only happens when you go to perform a wii system update, right?

again, i would create a new topic, but it saves time/space to ask here.

Ok Guys , i had to remove that file in case it caused any issues , but i put up a now with WITH_out the IOS106 ... but im sure there may be one around WITH the file in it as well, but i cant give that link - you will have to do the math and try to find it on your own.

I "save" my Wii with PatchMii_core (IOS254)..no IOS16!!!
Totally legal.

IOS254 was the key..IOS16 had to be secret, i think.
marcan created it in forecast of this last predictable Nintendo update!
