Final Fantasy XIII-2 Release Date Revealed

    Today Square Enix has revealed that Final Fantasy XIII-2 will release in January of 2012 in North America. Final Fantasy XIII-2 is a direct sequel to Final Fantasy XIII and takes place 5 years after the events of first entry.Final Fantasy XIII-2 is looking to deliver a far darker setting when compared to the original as players discover new mysteries and learn more about the game’s characters.

    Square Enix’s Emily Shoji revealed the release date via Twitter:

    "FINAL FANTASY XIII-2 is slated for a January 2012 release for North America. Be excited!"

    There is still much to learn about Final Fantasy XIII-2 but this release date information is welcome. Final Fantasy XIII-2 will be available on the Xbox 360 and PS3.[/p]


    I'm not a huge Final Fantasy fan but this will come as good news for those of you that are.

    Looking at the FFXIII release, EUR could be the same date again.
    SE Europe branch could just be taking their time to announce it.

    inb4 EUR gets super awesome collectors edition

    December 31st on almost any site for a game release is usually just "TBA 2011".

    January sounds good though, it's something you can get with all that Christmas cash! I may actually get this too, I enjoyed FFXIII.

    inb4 FFXIII is bad.
