023 Eidolon Files that have to be translated.
081 Enemy Files that have to be translated.
020 System Knowledge Files that have to be translated.
016 Mission Knowledge Files that have to be translated.
021 World Map Knowledge Files that have to be translated.

As well as the rest of the game's data (about 50% of the Game's data, maybe more.)

All the Moogle Lessons

And well there is a lot left to do. *sigh*

Aside from this comment being full of win, I am just wondering if sky is willing to release his current text extractor/injector program anytime soon for people to make small adjustments in the game while we wait for the translation to finish. During the early April fools joke he lol`d at the fact that people thought it was going to be released this year. If this is still the current progress line I wouldn`t mind changing some of the menu and skill/mission requirements since they are mostly translated in a google doc somewhere and would help messing with it for fun. Thoughts?

I would say no. Let's put it this way if tools were released they could go public and people would likely get the idea of hey I can just use something like google translate or babelfish to translate the game and play it that way even if it means the story loses it's context, flavor, and character's lose what makes them characters. Please understand.

What we want as fans is for everyone to experience FF Type 0 as it was meant to be experienced. Which should be a dynamic fucking awesome experience. Where when the characters speak this isn't some cliche anime ridden adventure.(looking at you XIII) When people talk you feel like they are talking and that what they are talking about needs to be taken seriously.

The game has comedy, serious adult talk(like the council discussion in our recent update), and lots of past FF references mixed in. And it has GILGAMESH. And given the way he speaks, Google translate ain't gonna help if he talks crudely and lacks particles in his speaking. Known as what they call mercenary or samurai talk. I.E. broken language.

First of all, thanks for this translation project everyone, I really want to play this game and did not have time to learn Japanese yet.
Take you time to make a really great translation SqEnix obviously does not want to release.

As for the tools issue, I think for some games an (alternate) Babelfish translation would be hilarious.

Unaccessible isn't a word so inaccessible automatically wins. That sort of slip shouldn't happen but it's understandable.

It is my opinion.(Unless I'm not allowed to have these anymore or at the very least express them) Main point is for the dialogue and story to be understood. Just so everything makes sense to the reader. The XIII bit was in parentheses. I apologize if my feelings on that saga upsets and conflicts with your own. Eye of the Beholder.

A seller on Amazon. Their name is AOYAMA & Co. As far as shipping goes, it comes faster than it says it will. I got mine in 9 or 10 days. That is with the cheaper shipping.

Note: I think I bought the last one from that seller. But there are others.
