To be fair, we weren't being exactly clear about our progress, and Type-0, being a Final Fantasy game, is capable of generating a lot of hype.

To be fair, it's not just the fact that it's a Final Fantasy game that it can generate hype.

It's also the fact that this is Type-0. In English.

No one should be worried about Square Enix 'putting a stop' to this patch, as they legally can't touch it as long as the translation team doesn't distribute any of the actual FF0 assets. The patch is just a patch, a block of information generated entirely by people outside of SE's sphere of copyright control.

or chances that S-E will leave it due Final Fantasy Agito (on androids/iphones) are on localization(they need it for more people to like type-0 series)

even they create a "good version for it for vita or ps3" the scar of it will never forget due SE doesnt care about it to be localized (or.........just create a International version of it(you know bad-ass editions of Final Fantasy Series like FF12 Zodiac Jobs forget about ff13international due its only have easy mode+ stories

Scar or no scar, i'm sure there are lots of people out there who still want to see an english dubbed version, and would still pay for a full english version of THIS version of the game with no problem.

And yet, if a C&D letter comes, I doubt anyone here has the money to mount a defense in court against SE.

Of all the times in the world, it had to be now? My PSP just died on me. And I have no moneys ;_;

Also - I know i'm perhaps thinking too far ahead - but once this translation is done, assuming the involved translators have the motivation and the time, could they not help translate other japanese PSP games into english? For example, the Last Ranker is being done solo by StorMyu, Sol Trigger is not doing much, and Grand Knights History does not have a story patch yet. There are countless others, but these are just the ones which I myself am most interested in - it's completely up to you guys if and what you translate.

EDIT: And don't forget Princess Crown, a game, which despite having a complete translation in text on the internet, does not yet have a patch (http://kotaku.com/want-to-play-princess-crown-in-english-heres-how-642695362)

I've been tempted to say that here about Tales of Destiny 2 (PSP) and .hack//Link (PSP). Anyway, maybe you could use PPSSPP for either PC or Android?
