I know this is probably bogus, but I have to comment on a few things here.

You can't add new characters. This is merely another port. If they start changing things to such a degree like adding new characters, it's now a new game.
Eternal Sonata PS3 version and Tales of Vesperia PS3 version say hi. I don't know who they could add that would still fit the story, but it's not like ports haven't added characters in the past.
