I see Square Enix just learned how to use RPG Maker.

I have to ask why iOS is the chosen platform in this instance. I would have to contend that it would have been better to give it to the vita and/or the 3ds.

Also it is much like the OTHER 3 Final Fantasy titles that have come out on the PSP (FFI and FFII and FFIV).

Furthermore they appear to be keeping it 2d but with hi-res sprites rather than going in for a full 3d remake like their recent versions of FFIII were.

Who asked for this? Seriously. Not that FFV isn't a good game, but why?

At least Square isn't doing the TWEWY hype for all these iOS ports.

You know, a new person to the Final Fantasy series will probably have a problem figuring out who is talking, except for Galuf, the one with the beard. The rest look so similar based on their portraits and yet look almost nothing like their sprite counterparts.

I like Final Fantasy 5, indeed it is probably my favourite in the main series, and despite owning no android, IOS, blackberry or other second rate operating system I do appreciate their existence and hold them as an interesting move in providing a base for application development .

Square enix are not doing any favours to either of my viewpoints with that though. I hope they did just make this as a throwaway project though as I would hate to see this tank Final Fantasy 5's chances of a proper revisit at some point.

Yuna from FFX becomes a singer and you edit your clothes with a sphere grid like level ups. Yay.
FFX-2 had one of the more fun battle systems in the series. I love traditional turn based, but FFX-2 was still really fun. But hey, maybe that's my penis talking because it was a softcore porn game anyways.

It has great gameplay, very little Tidus, a nice level system, a shitton of side quests, and a rather well done story (once you get past team rocket and the pop songs). It's a pretty fun game, far from a bad one from my POV.
