FF7 remake being released as a "Multi part series"
This may come as a blow to fans if this means the whole story of VII won't be available immediately. The announcement has yet to be properly clarifled.

Don't forget The Hobbit. The book was like 12 pages long. So they announced it as two movies, I was like wtf, then later they changed it to three and I just gave up on the whole thing.i kinda don't mind it in movies either, like Deathly Hallows which was a long-ass book so the story needed room to breath but Mockingjay on the other hand did not need to be 2 movies, though i heard The Stand remake is getting made into 4 parts and i wouldn't argue with that cause that book was DENSE
to be fair they did add in a lot of material to the movies. i liked the book but i like the movies too.Don't forget The Hobbit. The book was like 12 pages long. So they announced it as two movies, I was like wtf, then later they changed it to three and I just gave up on the whole thing.
And 90% of the added material was garbage. Who the fuck thought the most beloved fantasy novel of all time needed a love triangle?to be fair they did add in a lot of material to the movies. i liked the book but i like the movies too.

Chocobo Racing confirmed as DLC FTW etc.....Ya know, I'm gonna complain about all the changes, but then I'm going to buy whatever they put out anyway. I'll just be pissed if they remove my chocobo riding.
Kitase: From the beginning, we have considered it impossible to remake FF7 into one single game. Althought it's impossible to tell you the details about the splitting at the moment, please wait for our further announcement.

HAH! "Impossible" my arse...... Yeah like has been said, a simple upscale, new character models, couple of redone clips... maybe a bit of cleaning up the odd background - everybody wins, we'd all be happy!
I defended the battle system change but no, I'm out..... I'll stick with the PS1 version via emulation!
the love triangle thing was shit i admit. but the necromancer thing was excellent. And 90% of the added material was garbage. Who the fuck thought the most beloved fantasy novel of all time needed a love triangle?
that sounds ridiculous. The ps4 release of the original version lets you turn off random encounters, make the game run 3x speed, and insta-heal through button presses (L3, R3+L3, R3, respectively). I'll be playing through on that one. Though emulation is still probably better.

I...I... Insta-heal? As in "I'm losing so I'll just heal my party with no ramifications?"The ps4 release of the original version lets you turn off random encounters, make the game run 3x speed, and insta-heal through button presses (L3, R3+L3, R3, respectively). It's worse than you think.I...I... Insta-heal? As in "I'm losing so I'll just heal my party with no ramifications?"
Genuinely asking. That's the kind of stuff I hated about Bravely Default. I don't think I died a single time in that game because it's so easy to turn on baby mode with no downside.
So I don't get it.. Is it going to be:
1- Broken down to 2 or more separate releases?
Or
2- Broken down to 2 or more discs (like the original psx version was) in the same release?

fair enough, legolas felt a bit forced. i did like his scenes though. as for bravely default i don't understand what he means by "baby mode" you could set encounter rate but for the rest is was just a traditional MMO? and the real time attack thingy was limited to like 3 every day IF you left your 3ds on constantly. the bosses were plenty challenging on the first playthrough IMO. it was way easy at first though.I think they would have been just fine keeping it to the original material rather than just inventing stuff and bringing in characters like Legolas that have no business being there. That said, I still like the movies, I just think the much more concise cartoon version showed that you really don't need 9 freakin hours to do things in a satisfying way.
I loved the way BD did it. You can turn on battles to grind up your levels and jobs, then when you're ready to advance the story, you heal up and turn off the battles before going off to face the next boss. You still have to work to get strong enough to face them, but you don't have the frustration of being interrupted over and over while trying to explore.

It's a bit different than Telltale Games, though. They're choice-based, and the problem (at least my problem with them) is that you forget what happened beforehand, but for anyone who's actually played FFVII, they'll know exactly what's coming up (except for whatever new content they're adding).I'm a big fan of the FF VII universe but will they split the game into episodes like telltale game? I don't like it to stop and wait in the middle of the game 'til the next episode is out. Thats why I didn't ever played 'life is strange' again..
But god thanks its an remake with the battle system of CC. The Characters are looking very nice. But first, i'm waiting for FF 15 <3
Chronologically, yes, but CC was designed to be played after people have already played FF7. If the games were played chronologically, there'd be some HUGE spoilers, e.g. Crisis Core's ending.Shouldn't crisis core come first then? Seeing as it happens before clouds story..

See I'm not a purist... I never even played the original Final Fantasy. But now I know that if I do, I'm staying away from the PS4 version. That just seems unfair. Do trophies at least get locked if you do that? It's worse than you think.
Pressing R3 also gives everyone instant limit breaks. It refills your HP and MP, mid-battle, whenever you want it, just press R3. No limit. Baby mode if you want it, basically.
I will be using the no encounters and 3x game speed a great deal though.
To be fair, the game is the exact same as the original if you just choose not to use the cheat options. Why stay away from a game just because it adds a baby mode that you can easily choose to ignore completely?See I'm not a purist... I never even played the original Final Fantasy.
