I wonder how this messes up the numbering. Like if people are searching for the DS version they're going to get info on the SNES version.

Simple, it'll be the same way it's been for years now. FFIII is a NES/DS title. FFVI is a SNES/PSX/GBA title. If you say any different, you are wrong/weird.

FF3 Was a faicom title, it never made it to the nes... which was basicly the american version of the faicom... but you're still wrong!

Dang I want this game, but I have the feeling this one won't be leaked till a day or so before it hits stores.

that the day they will have it in for sure. Much like gamefly will list the Thursday of the week as the day the games are released but nearly all the time the games come out by wed. at the latest.
