Homebrew Few q's about emulation

I recently bought a NDS Lite to play my GBA and GBC games aswell as NDS games.
I just bought a acekard2i and i am waiting for it to arrive.
So let me get this right.
1. i can just put NDS games on the card and they will load up and i can play them?
2. i can put Lameboy on the card aswell as my GBC roms and play them?
3. To play GBA games i need something like GBA advance? i have a slot 2 on my ds(please help me with this question)
4. i can just put DS homebrew games on the card and run them.

I only have My DS lite and my acekard.
Kinda sounds like i cant run gba from my acekard...............
Whats the best mario game on the DS?

If you're using original (store-bought) carts, it can run fine... If you're wanting to use GBA ROMs and GBA Homebrew, you need a Slot-2 (GBA) flashcart

edit: "Whats the best mario game on the DS?" AFAIK, there aren't too many choices, but I would New Super Mario Bros. (if you like the 2D Mario games), or Super Mario 64 DS (if you like 3D) (SM64DS is somewhat of a remake of Super Mario 64, but with Yoshi, Luigi, and Wario as playable characters, as well as Mario, and there are more stars and some slightly modified areas from SM64...)
