Homebrew FBI crashes after launch

Hi, I am on 11.3.0-36J and I followed the guide in https://3ds.guide to install CFW
Im at the 3rd page (finalizing setup https://3ds.guide/finalizing-setup ) section IV.
When I launch FBI from homebrew (download play), it goes back to home screen saying download play crashed.
How can i fix this?
Also, after doing Section II my 3ds was upgraded to 11.4... the guide says its safe to upgrade, and my upgrade took literally no time...
Also the guide shows that I only need FBI.3dsx and FBI.cia, not sure if thats correct?

It turns out that i was running an outdated homebrew, download the latest one here (starter.zip) and follow the steps (unzip the file and copy the files to ur SD card) in the guide:

is it fbi v 2.4.8? it's buggy and not good! use the fbi v2.4.7 it works like a dream! you wont get crashing!

FBI.3dsx is placed in the 3ds/ folder for homebrew channel and FBI.cia, is place in a folder called cias/ for using fbi to install cia files to your 3ds! hope it helps and when you hack your 3ds firmware it's ok to upgrade because you hit lb down and start you will have roselina menu! so all is ok!

don't use new one! lol today I found it out! nothing wrong with the old one works great

Thanks for the reply guys, the latest version does work for me, all i did was update homebrew and it stopped crashing.
My old 3DS XL is running 11.3.0-36J
