Favorite SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive games?

I would have listed Road Rash but I hardly ever played it on Genesis. The 3DO version (tops the PSX version) made it hard to play in comparison.

Streets of Rage 3, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Aladdin, Streets of Rage 1, Shining Force, and Phantasy Star II in no particular order, although I do consider Sonic the Hedgehog 2 to be my all time favorite video game. Rockin Roll Racing is also my favorite Genesis game in the racing genre, and perhaps Road Rash. So many great games on the Genesis, its hard to narrow it down to a few.

Shinobi 3 is hands down my favorite Genesis game ever.

21:10 my favorite boss in the game.

Too bad Shinobi Legions, while still good, was a pale shadow of III--I daresay, however, that Shinobi 3DS is much more in line with what made S3 an absolutely enthralling experience.

Shinobi 3 is everything we had in Revenge but more polished, which is great. The only thing i dont like is having to hold down the hit button to defend. It was kinda more badass to block things ONLY while crawling/walking. But the walljump is gracious... The game was ahead of its time, and it aged well. The horse stage is more amazing than that one from Cadillacs and Dinosaurs where you drive a Cadillac!

Shining Force II - Yeah I preferred it to Shining Force 1 & In the Darkness. Landstalker & Story of Thor were also fine action RPG's.
Sonic? 1-3 & Knuckles were all great... Dr Robotniks MBM was a blast - prob my favourite Puyo Puyo of all time (better than Kirby's Ghost Trap)
Better-than-SNES Aladdin..... not exactly the best game ever though...

Unfortunately overshadowed by the SNES for me, but don't think I'm slagging it off: it's still probably my 2nd fave console of all time (aye, no prizes for guessing my fave then!)

Bought it in the Sonic 3 pack as my 3 year old saw the adverts and pestered me for it.
My favourite games on it (and I must have bought and sold dozens of them over the years) :
Virtua Racing, Mortal Kombat 3, Zero Tolerance, Gauntlet (whichever version it was) and Earthworm Jim (1&2).

Collection was packed away when I got my Saturn a few years later - probably still wasting away in boxes in my ex wife's loft, if it hasn't already been sent to the tip

Streets of Rage 2 will forever hold a special spot in my life, because it is the game that my brother and I bonded on, having grown up in separate homes.

Then there was finding a copy of Sonic 2 on the side of the road, getting to take it home, and it still works perfectly

Comix Zone was a refreshing, original title. Even though it was technically late in the life of the Sega Genesis, it was a very worthy title indeed.

Even though I had a Super Nintendo first, I can't discount the genesis at all. And have been happy that my girl still has a working one to play some of those classics the way they were originally intended to play.

Wonderboy In Monsterworld - sequel to the amazing Dragons Trap on the master system. Just bought it again as part of the monsterworld collection on 360.

The Immortal - Fantastic Isometric RPG.

Kid Chameleon - Great little platformer

Mickey Mouse Castle Of Illusion - My first foray into the 16 bit era. I was amazed at the graphics at the time!
