Hacking Faulty R4 DSI flash card?

So a friend got the r4ds and got onto the part where it says launch ak2i_ntrcardhax_flasher_dsi but it stays at a black screen. He has the original 3ds and new 2ds xl

When he tries to boot the flshcard or when he runs .nds file?

you shouldnt be using the dsi version anyway, have you tried with the non dsi version?

ok, just tested non dsi doesnt work, did the dsi one on my 3ds for the first time, and that works

make sure to redownload it incase its corrupted

and redownload and place the ntrboot flasher to the sd card again
