In the weekend I will be reinstalling a lot of games.

I wonder: what is the fastest USB installer and what speed I can achieve?

PS: My PC is linux-based, so PC part should be python/java/linux native

fastest possible speed is 35 MB/s (USB 2.0 speed) for me since USB 3 crashes sometimes using goldleaf or tinfoil.

Now emunand is a thing - hopefully at some point there will be a pc app that can mount the emunand as an image and let you install that way - could you imagine the time that would be saved.

the fastest are og tinfoil and new tinfoil at 35 - 40 MB/sec.

Goldleaf only does like 15 - 17 MB/s via USB

Only new tinfoil supports bulk install if you are doing a lot of games.

DZ Tinfoil with nut server is very fast, in my experience. It's also more stable than the others.

but how do I make tinfoil 1.63 recognize NS-usbloaders handed NSPs? it won't show up under file explorer --> USB or USBFS.

the newest zelda update (The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild [01007EF00011E800][v786432]) makes it crash for example.

You have to use nut with tinfoil.

Are there nut server for linux? I found only windows nut.exe

its open source, just run server.py . the exe is just the python scripts compiled so users dont need to set up a python environment on their PC.
