Hey Tempers,

Currently searching the web and landed on Zelda30Tibute.com. It's a 3D clone of the original Legend of Zelda created by 2 fans of the game to celebrate the 30th anniversary.

There is a 3 dungeon demo at www.zelda30tribute.com so check it out!

With the game being 30 years old and made as a tribute I hope old ninty just either looks the other way or pat the makers on the back. Otherwise I'd dislike Nintendo as much as I dislike Konami and the whole Shadow Moses ordeal.
well you mad ea big mistake posting it on this site. nintendo DO visit this site all the time. how do you think they caught kongnutz? :P

That's like saying they don't go on facebook where the project is mostly advertised. Besides I posted this to share it with my friends at GBAtemp. To enjoy a 3D remake of the original and to bask in its awesome remakedness.

This fan-made remake has gathered a lot of popularity but since it's just that, a fan-made, I wouldn't hold my breath to seeing this last too long on the internet before it gets taken down by Nintendo's C&D.

Weird, wouldn't load my sound plugin. Some enemies look awful. And the collision leaves much to be desired. I can hit an enemy without my sword actually touching them, and they can hit me much in the same way. I do like the fact that it doesn't have area transitions, though it's kind of weird when you accidentally cross into the next screen when going after an enemy.

Well, went to check it out and it was removed.

SORRY, FOLKS.
Nintendo asked us to remove this site for copyright infringement. I guess Zelda30Tribute was a little too pixel perfect :-) We're sad about that, but we get it. We started this project because we love Nintendo and the joy they have given us throughout the years. From the start of development, we knew this result could potentially happen. Nintendo has every right to protect their IP. No complaints from us, we had a blast working on this tribute and made some friends along the way.

Big thanks to the half million folks who played our game! We learned a bunch and wrote some code that others might learn from, too. We plan to post the project to Github soon, once we've had a chance to remove Nintendo-owned assets. :)

We both have future software projects in the works. If you would like to keep in touch, please follow us on social media or join our mailing list. We'll let you know!

This was not the greatest game in the world, no. This was just a tribute. Thank you Nintendo for the inspiration!
