Gaming Fallout New Vegas Crushes

Hi guys Im big fan of the fallout games since the 1st game.I just bought fallout new Vegas and installed it.but the game crushed after the launcher.
you have any idea?

Check if your game resolution is higher than the desktop resolution. If so, make it the same or less than the desktop.

I had the same type of crash happen in Fallout 3, and since it's the same engine, this 'might' be the same problem.

Otherwise check on video or sound card driver updates, possibly even try older drivers as occasionally newer ones may have a bug in them, and there have been 2 patches already released through steam, not sure if one has been released for the retail ver.

Im not using steam tough anyway I tried may solution ways but none worked Im still searching
