Hardware Faded, Flickering, Moving lines.

Hey so i'd like to fix my old 3ds xl as it has an issue with the bottom screen.
I'll include images.

Though it's more apparent when you're holding it in person. However, if the colour black is on the screen...

It becomes discoloured (greenish) and lines appear more prominently.

Any idea what the issue could be and how I could fix it?
I'd rather not return it for repairs as it's currently on 9.2 and this is the only issue with it. Plus I believe my warranty has expired by now.

Any Idea on how i'd fix it? Is it as simple as opening the system up and attempting to reattach them?
