Hardware Factory Reset without Updating

Hey Guys i bought a second hand switch and i am wanting to factory reset and un link the previous owners account bu when i go to do it it is asking me to connect to the internet and im worried it may update my console. Can i get some advice on how to do this please champs.

It wont update your console.

Use Recovery Mode:

1. Turn OFF console.
2. Hold down the volume up and volume down buttons, then press the power button.
3. Continue holding volume up and volume down until Recovery Mode loads on your Nintendo Switch.
4. Initialize console!
