    hi,
i've found a tool around the web that is able to unzip several file formats used in F-Zero GX.
All Models and textures used in staged and for the vehicles can be dumped.
the Problem is, the .tpl/.gma Extractor is not able to repack any files.
and there is no tool to modify the collision data files..

i can't do anything there, because i have not enough programming skills, yet.
so is there someone else interested in to help with that? (the Tools are open source)
i dont want to ask or bother someone with this question, cuz i know programming a tool like this is not easy.
but hopefully someone is interested in to help anyways.

(it would be a dream changing into reality if we can create costum tracks one day)

Do you mind posting the tool? It might be useful for unpacking monkey ball files as somebody over at Romhacking.net has managed to modify collision data

This is a collision triangle from Super Monkey Ball. It may be similar, if not the same, as F-Zero GX.

    File values:
    -1
    0
    -1
    0
    1
    0
    -1
    -1
    1
    -1
    1
    1
    -1
    0
    1
    -1

    Resulting triangle:
    (-1,0,-1)(0,0,0),(-2,0,0)

Here is a program that can convert obj/mtl files to gma/tpl files:

    Thank you!
I will have a deeper look at it later :)
