Hey all,

I really need help from you all, and here are some details that might be of use.

Problem: The game freezes for certain games such as Minish Cap, Advance Wars, Final Fantasy VI (V, IV, Tactics are all fine), etc. But when I write to NOR, the game works.

1) I have a 2006.03 EZ FLASH IV (not sure if the number actually matters)
2) I am using Clearlooks v5 (1.74)
3) Whenever I update firmware, the command prompt freezes while it is writing, but when I reboot the GBA, it miraculously appears to have updated.

example: the screen will freeze at
"Find_ezfla_up.bin,updating
Eraseing_OK
writing69%"

... then I'll wait 2 minutes, reboot, and the update will have appeared to have occurred. The update only worked for 1.74. For most 1.72 builds, including the Clearlooks v5 1.72RESET, the screen doesn't go past the "Hold L to skip" part since it is instead blank <-- weird. I've been trying to downgrade to a 1.72 build since I hear they are more "compatible"? (Which may fix potential freezing)

EDIT: This doesn't happen for 1.74 builds, only 1.72 builds. Maybe my card is a newer model and isn't compatible with 1.72?

4) I am using a transcend 2gb miniSD card and not an adapter for microSD.

PLEASE HELP! The freezing is actually tearing away at my sanity

how_do_i_do_that: I used EZ_Client 1.03 to send games over to the system.

migles: The miniSD card seems fine.

JayRo: I just did, but nothing seems to have changed.

Could this just mean that the card I received was a flop? It's only strange since some games work perfectly time while other games freeze before I can begin playing. Could my SRAM be screwed up? The NOR memory is perfectly fine.

Jimmypod i think you should contact the store and get a replacement...

the numbers on the card are random... they dont actually mean anything..
